Hi guys! So once again it’s time for WWW Wednesday – a meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words. (Formally hosted at Should Be Reading)
The only rules are to answer the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m currently reading
The Girls by Emma Cline
The Girls was my most anticipated read of 2016 and luckily I was approved to read it early thanks to NetGalley. I am only a couple of chapters in but this beautifully written story of murder and cults already has me hooked.
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
I have been gripped by the BBC adaptation of War and Peace and of all the reviews I have read book readers seem a bit 50/50 about it claiming it’s ‘sexed up’ for the tele (which it probably is, I mean hello James Nortan!). But I enjoyed the adaptation so much I have now started Tolstoy’s 1000+ page beasty. And I have to admit it is really great to be re-entering this world again.
What did you recently finish?
What do you think you will read next?
I have been in a bit of a reading slump recently but I have a few things on my TBR that I’m leaning towards. Likely candidates are –
Cecelia Ahern is one of my favourite writers and I’m always really sucked into her stories (P.S I Love You, Love Rosie and A Place Called Here) all great examples of her work. With season 2 of Outlander hitting our screens in April I need to get on this asap, and who doesn’t need a bit of Jamie Fraser in there lives hmm?
Right, well that has been my WWW Wednesday see you next time.
Happy reading everyone!
Wow! I’m in awe of you taking on War and Peace. I was pleased with myself for having read Anna Karenina and W&P makes that look short! I hope you enjoy it as much as the BBC adaptation.
Here’s my WWW: https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/02/17/www-wednesday-17th-february-2016/
Took me so long to read Anna so I’m not exactly sure what I’m getting into 🙂 I feel while I’m in the mood to read it jumping right off the back of watching the series is the perfect time to give it a shot!
